Meet the Author
Cat Pierce
Cat is a children’s author, former K–12 educator, lifelong learner, and believer that some of the best lessons happen when we’re brave enough to explore beyond the familiar. She holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and has spent much of her life encouraging children to learn, grow, ask questions, and believe in what they can become.
She is married to her high school sweetheart, best friend, and business partner, Brian. Together, they have three sons, three daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, and a life filled with plenty of stories, worth telling.
In 2022, Cat and Brian traded a traditional home for life on the road and became full-time RVers. Since then, they’ve explored national parks, wandered through small towns, hiked trails, cast fishing lines, discovered hidden gems, met fascinating people, and learned that sometimes the best adventures are the ones you never planned.
And somewhere along the way, many of those adventures began finding their way into the pages of Maggie May Adventures.
Of course, no adventure is complete without a few furry companions! Bella the Bulldog and Brindi, their beloved rescue dog, were part of many treasured family memories and will always hold a special place in their story. Today, Miss Harley Kitty is still part of the crew, along with the newest little adventurer, Gulliver, Cat’s therapy dog. Named after Gulliver’s Travels, he seems destined for a life of exploring, meeting new friends, and getting into a few adventures of his own.
When Cat isn’t writing, you might find her fishing, hiking, reading, baking something delicious, exploring a new destination, or wondering, “Where should we go next?”
Through Maggie May Adventures, Cat hopes to help children discover that books can take them anywhere—and that the real world is filled with adventures just waiting to be explored.
Most of all, she hopes Maggie May inspires young readers to be curious, try new things, care for others, and have the courage to begin their own adventures.
Be brave, be kind, and never lose your sense of adventure. Stay curious.
